Overview Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC), we support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).
Key Responsibilities
Installing operating system software, patches, and upgrades.
Analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving system hardware, software, and networking issues.
Configuring, optimizing, fine‑tuning, and monitoring operating system software and hardware.
Performing system backups, recovery, and server builds.
Providing systems administrator support to systems hosting complex operational databases, software configuration control, and system interfaces for computer systems.
Managing file servers and network access, including analysis, troubleshooting, and documentation of system anomalies.
Providing server, workstation, and system expertise, including on‑site and off‑site travel.
Coordinating and scheduling system upgrades and maintenance.
Providing guidance, direction, and training to others in the group and serving as backup to other computer systems administrators.
Ordering replacement of new hardware and software, including warranty claims.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic Requirements
Active TS with SCI eligibility.
Current DoD IAT Level II or higher (Sec+).
Minimum 5 years of general work experience.
Minimum 2 years of directly related experience.
Working knowledge and system administration experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments; Microsoft Windows operating systems; VMware and system virtualization; and LAN/WAN technologies.
Experience with Red‑hat or Linux.
Understanding of virtual machine and Remote Desktop.
Windows System Administration experience or background with SPADOC or space situational analysis/space orbital.
Desired Requirements
Associate of Science Degree in a computer field.
Virtual Machine Certifications.
Cyber and Space Operations experience.
Basic understanding of network topologies and protocols.
Remedy trouble ticket experience.
Pay Range:
$85,000 - $100,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and relevant certifications.
