Key Responsibilities

Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of documentation for sophisticated secured lending and commercial loans.

Develop and implement restructuring strategies, forbearance agreements, and distressed asset management solutions for clients.

Provide robust representation in bankruptcy filings and advocate on behalf of creditors in negotiations and plan confirmations.

Conduct critical due diligence and transactional support for corporate acquisitions, real estate deals, and various lending arrangements.

Collaborate seamlessly with senior attorneys in a flexible, hybrid work environment.

Act as a mentor to junior attorneys, contributing to the firm’s knowledge‑sharing and development initiatives.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Active Admission to the New Jersey Bar is required; New York Bar admission is strongly preferred.

Approximately 4+ years of substantive experience in at least two of the following areas: bankruptcy, banking/finance, real estate, or corporate law.

Proven expertise in loan documentation, workouts, restructuring agreements, and creditor representation.

Excellent contract drafting, document review, and advanced legal research capabilities.

Superior organizational, communication, and time‑management abilities, essential for handling multiple complex engagements.

Proficiency with legal technology tools (e.g., DocuSign, iManage, or equivalent).

Preferred Skills

Experience representing lenders or financial institutions in secured financing transactions.

Strong understanding of UCC regulations and lender liability considerations.

Familiarity with complex bankruptcy proceedings and asset restructurings.

Experience with real estate financing, leasing, or acquisition transactions.

Knowledge of corporate governance, M&A, and related transactional support.
