About the Role We are seeking an experienced accounting leader to manage financial operations and drive process improvements in a collaborative, mission-driven setting.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee general ledger and month‑end close; ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
Prepare accurate financial statements, variance analyses, and audit schedules.
Manage payroll, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and fixed assets.
Supervise one team member and support tuition billing and financial aid processes.
Partner with leadership to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
Collaborate across departments to resolve issues and maintain strong financial stewardship.
Qualifications
7–12 years
of progressive accounting experience (3+ years in education or nonprofit strongly preferred).
Minimum
1 year of managerial experience .
Skilled in full‑cycle accounting and month‑end close; enjoys improving processes.
Proficiency with
Blackbaud Financial Edge
and advanced Excel skills.
Strong communicator, adaptable, and team‑oriented.
Compensation
Salary Range:
$130,000–$135,000 annually (based on experience).
Benefits

Additional voluntary benefits.
Paid leave includes:
Personal Time Off (PTO) on an accrual basis up to 152 hours per year.

PTO and holiday hours are prorated based on hire date within the calendar year.
