QC Specialist
– Performs accurate and timely testing of routine lab samples in accordance with appropriate GMP and safety guidelines.
Participates in second person verification (SPV) of analytical data, laboratory investigations, equipment calibrations, and maintenance by executing well‑defined protocols and procedures.
Identifies and communicates opportunities for improvement within the lab. Key Responsibilities
Accurately and safely perform analytical test methods or related support activities as per procedures or protocols and review results for conformity to standards. Enter data and review own work for accuracy in accordance with laboratory procedures, standards, and GMP requirements. Recognise deviations from procedures and initiate investigations; notify supervision. Verify (SPV) analytical data of other analysts within the lab as required. Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement initiatives in daily work activities. Troubleshoot equipment and methods as required. Train others within the lab. Perform routine equipment qualifications/calibrations or maintenance through execution of well‑defined protocols. Participate in laboratory investigations. Maintain a safe work environment, support all HSE Corporate and Site goals. Use time‑management skills to prioritise work, ensuring due dates and commitments are met. Implement continuous improvement efforts related to the execution of the above responsibilities. Qualifications
Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office, LIMS (Smart Lab, Darwin, SAP) and other laboratory systems. Ability to work in a lab environment, wearing appropriate PPE and safety equipment. Ability to work in a highly regulated environment. Strong math, documentation and written communication skills. Able to repetitively lift up to 20 pounds. Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal interaction skills. Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and supporting all HSE Corporate and Site goals. Additional Preferences
Prior experience with SAP/EWM. Education Requirements
High school diploma with at least one year of demonstrated relevant experience in a GMP (analytical chemistry or microbiology) laboratory. Additional Information
