General Manager – Sushi & Japanese Restaurant We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead operations at an upscale sushi and Japanese restaurant in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader with strong multi‑unit or high‑volume experience, a deep understanding of elevated dining operations, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of restaurant performance, including team leadership, financial management, and operational excellence.

Base pay range: $80,000–$85,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership

Oversee and manage daily restaurant operations, ensuring seamless execution of service and standards.

Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and guest experience.

Implement operational systems that support efficiency, consistency, and excellence.

Recruit, train, and develop a strong management and service team.

Lead by example, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and hospitality.

Conduct regular coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.

Guest Experience

Ensure every guest receives warm, attentive service and memorable dining experiences. Financial & Business Management

Monitor and manage labor, food costs, and overall restaurant expenses.

Review financial reports, sales trends, and performance metrics.

Drive strategies to optimize revenues and profitability.

Compliance & Safety

Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and liquor regulations.

Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.

Qualifications

3+ years of restaurant management experience, preferably in upscale casual or fine dining environments.

Experience managing sushi or Japanese dining concepts is a strong advantage.

Proven ability to lead teams, manage operations, and drive financial performance.

Excellent communication, organization, and decision‑making skills.

Comfortable in a high‑volume, fast‑paced restaurant setting.

Strong hospitality mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction.
