Job Title: Manual Tester (DICOM)
Job Type – Contract
Job Description:
As a Manual Tester (DICOM), you will be a part of an Agile team to Test healthcare applications and new features while adhering to the best functional standards.
Responsibilities
Perform end-to-end functional, regression, system, and integration testing for medical imaging modules
Validate workflows involving DICOM viewers, PACS/RIS integration, image acquisition, annotation, and reporting.
Review requirements, UX flows, and clinical use cases to develop detailed test scenarios and test cases.
Execute testing on various modalities: CT, MRI, X‑ray, Ultrasound, etc.
Verify image loading, rendering, image tools (zoom, pan, measurements), and advanced workstation functionalities.
Ensure compliance with healthcare standards (DICOM, HL7, IHE).
Work with developers to identify, reproduce, and document defects using tools like TFS
Conduct exploratory testing, usability validation, and workflow testing.
Participate in release validations, smoke testing, and build acceptance.
Collaborate closely with the teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Mandatory skills
7–8 years of hands‑on experience in manual testing
Strong domain experience in medical imaging, radiology workflows, PACS/RIS systems.
Deep understanding of DICOM standards, metadata, DICOM Query Retrieve, and image validation.
Understanding medical terminologies used in radiology and cardiology workflows
Experience testing clinical reporting systems (structured reports, templates, dictation workflows).
Strong test case writing, test planning, and documentation skills.
Excellent analytical and debugging skills.
Strong knowledge of using the Fiddler tool for debugging the requests
Knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and standard QA processes.
Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and communicate complex issues clearly.
Good to have skills
API Testing knowledge
Basic knowledge of PowerShell scripting
Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines.
Exposure to automation (any tool) is a plus, though the role is primarily manual.
