Job Title: Expert Product Specialist
Location: Oakland, CA (Hybrid)
Duration: January 30, 2026 – December 31, 2026
Key Responsibilities
Administer SharePoint/MS-Teams – Design, set up, and support SharePoint sites utilizing out-of-the-box features and functionality. Manage permission groups, including folder restrictions, and advise on growth, linkages, and integration of sites. Explore opportunities to use AI such as Microsoft Copilot and SharePoint “Agents”.
Administer Jira – Design, configure, and support Propel’s project management tool across multiple Jira instances (internal & external) for Agile/Hybrid methodology with multiple Scrum teams, including security group administration.
Support software testing tools (e.g., KOBITON) that manage test scripts, test cycles, defect management, and resolution. Partner with PG&E’s Testing COE.
Support budgeting, scheduling, cost control, and financial forecasting: Create and refresh project estimating, expenditure tracking, and forecasting tools that integrate multiple data sources (MS‑Project, Jira, SAP, Ariba, third‑party apps, Excel).
Support data analysis: Work with Power BI developers and others to integrate project‑management tools, analyze data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to the Project Manager and Project Controller.
Communicate effectively with PMO team members, software product managers, IT technical staff, and other stakeholders, including project managers and project controller.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
Working knowledge of financial and accounting concepts.
Work Experience
5+ years of experience in large software programs and/or project management.
5+ years of developer or software design and support controller experience.
Proficiency / Required Skills
Advanced SharePoint administration – user permissions, site collection setup, and advanced features.
Jira / Agile project management – configuration, queries, gadgets, and Atlassian’s Jira capabilities.
Advanced Excel – creating graphs, look‑ups, pivot tables, formulas.
Power BI reporting using data sources such as Excel, SAP, Jira, and third‑party apps.
MS Office suite: Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
Desirable Skills
Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot technologies and AI features like “SharePoint Agents”.
Knowledge of ERP project phases and lifecycle methodologies such as SAP Activate.
Experience with Power Automate workflows to automate standard tasks like data refreshes, emails, and reminders.
