Public Safety Officer/Armed - 3rd Shift - Full Time

Public Safety Officer/Armed - 3rd Shift - Full Time Job Details Provide maximum security possible for the hospital during normal day‑to‑day operations and during emergency situations. The armed security officer enforces hospital security rules and regulations uniformly among patients, visitors, and hospital employees in a low‑key, professional manner consistent with the overall hospital’s mission and values of providing health care to the children of the community. The officer must comply with a hospital‑wide program for surveillance, prevention, and control of infection, and with a safety management program designed to provide a physical environment free of hazards and reduce the risk of human injury. The officer will collaborate interdepartmentally with all divisions of the hospital, provide patient transport, maintain a valid driver’s license and be insured by the hospital’s insurance carrier, lift up to 70 lbs, and work to achieve OPOTA certification within 12 months of hire.
