We are seeking a highly experienced

Senior Quality Control Inspector

to serve as a consultant overseeing the quality of construction activities across all active projects. This role requires a seasoned professional with exceptional technical knowledge and judgment, capable of identifying quality issues, enforcing standards, and guiding project teams toward corrective action.

Key Responsibilities

Perform in‑depth, high‑level quality inspections across all phases of construction including civil, structural, architectural, and MEP works.

Verify field work against drawings, specifications, submittals, and applicable codes such as CBC, LABC, ACI, ASTM, NFPA, and industry standards.

Identify deviations, potential failures, workmanship issues, and long‑term durability risks.

Provide independent, unbiased evaluations of work quality and recommend corrective measures to ensure issues are properly closed by the project team.

Advise Project Engineers and ACMs on technical matters, quality risks, and compliance gaps, and offer expert insight on constructability and best practices to prevent recurring issues.

Prepare professional assessment reports including photos, notes, checklists, NCRs, and recommendations; submit complete quality reports within 24 hours of each inspection to the QC Manager.

Maintain logs of deficiencies, open NCRs, and follow‑up actions until resolution; document quality trends and provide monthly quality performance summaries.

Travel between multiple project sites daily based on the established rotational schedule; coordinate with ACMs, PEs, and subcontractors to ensure work is ready for inspection; validate completion of corrective actions through follow‑up visits; support closeout reviews, commissioning verification, and final readiness checks.

Enforce company QA/QC standards with professional authority and independence; ensure all work meets required tolerances, durability requirements, and craft quality; identify systemic issues and recommend long‑term improvement strategies; review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals when required to verify compliance.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of experience in construction, quality control, inspection, or related fields.

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (required); Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering or related field (preferred).

Extensive experience in multifamily and commercial construction projects.

Comprehensive knowledge of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical trades.

Full background working with General Contractors, including oversight of subcontractors.

California License to Practice (PE or equivalent).

Strong understanding of U.S. building codes, quality procedures, and inspection best practices.

Ability to travel daily between multiple project locations (must be mobile).

Exceptional communication, reporting, and technical evaluation skills.

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM.

Availability as needed for special inspections, follow‑ups, or urgent quality issues.
