Role Overview
We are seeking a Manufacturing Testing Specialist to support the testing and validation of power electronics equipment, including solar inverters, converters, and variable frequency drives. This role is responsible for executing functional and performance testing, developing test procedures and labs, and ensuring all testing activities meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Champion a safety-first mindset and support a zero-defect testing culture.
Perform comprehensive functional testing, including insulation, Hi-Pot, I/O verification, cooling system checks, and performance validation.
Independently troubleshoot test failures and equipment issues using technical expertise and product knowledge.
Develop and maintain test plans, procedures, and lab setups for inverters and related electrical equipment.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying manufacturing or test issues and implementing cost-effective solutions.
Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to improve test design, manufacturability, and product quality.
Prepare and maintain test documentation, reports, and records using established engineering templates.
Ensure proper equipment setup and teardown in compliance with EHS and LOTO requirements.
Lead customer witness factory acceptance testing and participate in third-party certification testing.
Align all testing activities with IEC and UL standards.
Track first-pass yield, document lessons learned, and communicate findings to leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with IEC and UL certification requirements.
Strong collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Customer-focused mindset with the ability to prioritize testing activities.
Flexibility to work extended hours or alternative shifts (2nd or 3rd shift) as required.
