Summary Responsible for educating nursing staff and managing and delivering quality nursing care; serving actively and constructively as a member of the multi‑disciplinary treatment team, supporting the organization philosophy of care; ensuring the safety and well‑being of each patient. Actively serves as a key member of the Nursing Leadership team. $20,000 SIGN ON BONUS! Salaried, exempt position and covers 1 weekend per month.

Key Responsibilities

Overall responsibility for ensuring programming, milieu management and regulatory compliance of unit(s).

Maintains a system of communication and reporting between all staff on all shifts, as well as with other departments involved in the ongoing operation of the facility.

Carries out personnel management activities associated with direct staff supervision such as performance management, hiring and onboarding staff.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Associates or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Prefer a minimum of two years’ experience in nursing administration or supervision, plus experience in psychiatric nursing.

Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of South Carolina or compact state.

Thorough familiarity of psych pharmacy & the use of psychotropic medications.

Record of consistently high quality of clinical and interpersonal skills to be a role model to others.
