What You’ll Get to Do As an Associate Designer, you’ll play a key role in our New Product Development team, supporting the design, development, and enhancement of architectural window, door, and glazing systems. You will help create high-performance, cost-effective products through technical design expertise and cross‑functional collaboration.

Job responsibilities include:

Design and enhance architectural window and entrance systems to improve performance and manufacturability

Develop detailed component and assembly designs using AutoCAD and Inventor

Support performance validation through thermal and structural simulations and coordinate industry testing (AAMA, NFRC, etc.)

Prepare product documentation including drawings, installation manuals, and technical data sheets

Provide technical support to internal teams, customers, and architects on product applications and specifications

Process and maintain Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and ensure communication across departments

Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and product management to align design solutions with business goals

Research materials, technologies, and trends to inform and innovate product designs

What We Are Looking For

Associate’s degree in Drafting, Design, or Engineering Technology (Bachelor’s preferred)

2+ years of design or drafting experience in the architectural aluminum and glazing industry

Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (2019+) and Autodesk Inventor

Knowledge of Revit and Autodesk Vault

Strong communication and technical documentation abilities using Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office

Understanding of architectural aluminum systems, thermal/structural performance, and industry standards (AAMA, ASTM, IGMA)
