Job Description
Summary:
Reads and interprets Engineering drawings, blueprints with associated parts list and notes list with related specifications to create a complete and comprehensive inspection plan. These plans are from assembly level to detail level components that identifies complete traceability, accountability and verification.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Read understand and interpret Engineering drawings, blueprints with parts and notes list, and related specifications.
Use Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) along with Cartesian coordinates (x,y,z) to layout First Article inspection (FAI) records.
Using metrology instrumentation compare accuracy against engineering drawing characteristics.
Create and produce a comprehensive inspection plan from assembly level to detail level components that identify complete traceability, accountability and verification.
Ability to multi-task to ensure timely completion of project requirements.
Support IPT Manager to ensure product will comply and satisfy specific customer requirements.
Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience
GED or equivalent.
Two years’ experience in quality at a manufacturing facility preferred.
Correctly read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
Excellent computer skills particularly excel and MRP systems.
Physical Demands:
Majority of time is in a sitting position in front of a computer or in meetings, with the rest of the time in a walking or standing position presenting to customers or obtaining status on the machine shop floor, (heavy machinery)
