I am supporting a
large, mission-driven public health system in Southern California
that is seeking an experienced
Contract Senior Project Manager
to lead critical clinical IT initiatives across hospital and clinic environments. This is a
high-priority engagement
tied to an upcoming go‑live, and the team is looking for someone who can step in quickly and deliver with confidence.
This role is
hybrid , requiring
onsite presence in Ventura, CA three days per week . Local candidates are strongly preferred.
What This Role Is (and Is Not)
This is a
hands‑on delivery role , not a PMO design or strategy position. You’ll be working in a
new or lightly structured PMO environment , helping drive clinical projects forward without heavy governance layers already in place.
Rate Range is $65.00 - $75.00 w2. Due to the nature and sensitivity of this project, only U.S. Citizens and Green Card holders are eligible for consideration.
Non‑Negotiable Requirements

10+ years
of project/program management experience Healthcare IT experience within hospitals or clinics payer / insurance‑only backgrounds will not be a fit Hands‑on Oracle Cerner (Millennium) project leadership Experience working effectively in a
new or evolving PMO PMP certification Ability to work onsite in Ventura
3 days per week
Preferred Experience
Clinical system implementations or go‑lives PACS experience is a plus, but
not required Enterprise PPM tools such as
ServiceNow, Clarity, or Planview

Leading clinical IT initiatives tied to Cerner Coordinating clinicians, IT teams, and vendors Managing timelines, risks, issues, and executive reporting Ensuring stability through key milestones and go‑live activities
