Job Overview A leading national construction and contracting company is seeking a Branch Safety Manager to lead and oversee safety operations for its Raleigh-Durham branch. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with company and client accident prevention policies, conducting safety audits and inspections, leading safety training, and promoting a proactive safety culture across construction and manufacturing project sites. This position plays a key part in ensuring the safety of employees and subcontractors involved in commercial building construction, facility expansions, and structural buildouts.

Key Responsibilities

Implement and administer corporate and client accident prevention plans, policies, and procedures.

Ensure timely submission of safety documentation, reports, and compliance data.

Conduct on-site safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations.

Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential health and safety hazards.

Coach and counsel workers and supervisors to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Review and report on all incidents and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence.

Serve as a liaison between company, clients, and regulatory agencies on all safety-related matters.

Approve and manage use of safety equipment and PPE.

Establish and monitor safety goals and KPIs for the branch.

Prepare comprehensive monthly safety reports for regional management.

Must-Have Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience in Health & Safety Management within construction or manufacturing environments.

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.

Direct experience in construction buildouts — preferably for large commercial buildings, manufacturing facilities, or plant expansions.

Strong working knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Excellent communication, leadership, and coaching skills.

Stable career track record — minimum 3 years tenure with previous employers.

Must currently reside in Raleigh-Durham, NC and be currently employed.

Nice-to-Have Skills

OSHA Certification (30-hour or higher).

Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) credentials such as CHST, ASP, or CSP.

Fluency in Spanish for workforce training and communication.

Prior experience delivering safety training or leading safety programs at multi-site operations.
