Job Summary The Receiving Associate manages incoming shipments, verifies contents against purchase orders, maintains receiving records, and operates warehouse equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Unpack shipments, verify contents, and process shipping documentation.
Operate material handling equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.
Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists using SAP.
Record and track inventory accurately, report discrepancies or damages to internal teams.
Adhere to all safety protocols and report safety hazards.
Collaborate with Dock Supervisor and team members to meet operational deadlines.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
2+ years experience in shipping and receiving
Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to lift and move objects up to 50lbs
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong knowledge of logistics documentation and ERP systems
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols for shipping and receiving operations
Must successfully pass a full background check
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of freight handling and shipping best practices
Experience with inventory tracking systems
Certification in forklift operation or relevant equipment
Work Conditions and Environment
Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs).
Typical noise level of warehouse operations.
Flexibility to support other locations or shifts as needed.
Strict adherence to SOP.
