Job Summary The Eligibility Denial Specialist I (MSP) researches basic denied claims to ensure correct payers are billed in a timely manner. This role is a work‑from‑home position for Texas residents and includes a flex‑shift schedule (06:00‑17:00).

Responsibilities

Verify insurance information and update registration data.

Work with high‑volume denial inventory and resolve denied claims based on eligibility.

Interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and contact payers via website, phone, or correspondence.

Assist patients with coordination of benefits and coverage denials.

Update registration and demographic information in hospital billing service areas.

Review and resolve visit filing order changes.

Liaise between clinical departments and third‑party payers.

Complete special projects and maintain management reports to identify billing issues.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing, claims processing, and/or insurance eligibility.

Medical billing certification or graduate degree may substitute for experience.
