Mid Special Security Technician with Security Clearance
Athenix Special Missions is seeking a Mid Special Security Technician in Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. The position requires U.S. citizenship and a TS with SCI clearance. The role will support ACC Wing SCI security programs, assist in the operation of the special security office, administer the SCI security program, and provide guidance for local/tenant SCIFs. Responsibilities
Perform the full range of security duties and assignments in support of ACC Wing SCI security programs. Assist the Special Security Officer (SSO) to ensure control of access to SCI and SCI facilities (SCIFs); certify and receive SCI visitor clearances. Conduct SCI security briefings, indoctrinations, debriefings, training on classified material and SSO‑related material. Obtain signed nondisclosure agreements and provide guidance for processing SCI position and eligibility requests. Audit classified material and conduct inspections of storage facilities/SCIFs/containers. Maintain SCI directives, regulations, manuals, and guidelines to discharge SSO duties. Ensure SCI is properly accounted for, controlled, transmitted, transported, packaged, and safeguarded. Ensure SCI is destroyed by authorized means and disseminated only to authorized personnel with a need‑to‑know. Investigate SCI security infractions, prepare required reports, and make recommendations to the Chief SSO. Maintain liaison with collateral security officials to ensure mission accomplishment. Conduct SCI personnel, information, physical, and technical security actions (TEMPEST/TSCM). Provide all required security awareness trainings. Execute all aspects of the SCI Personnel Security Program, including nomination interviews, validation of access requirements, investigative requests, and briefings. Serve as the official channel for certifying and receiving SCI visitor clearances/accesses. Maintain the Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) accurately. Assist in establishing Security Information Files and processing derogatory information concerning SCI individuals. Provide overall physical security, ensuring SCI facilities comply with ICD 705 and other policies. Prepare and revise physical accreditation paperwork and fixed facility checklists. Ensure SCIFs conduct annual self‑inspections of the security program. Qualifications
At least 6 years of relevant security analysis experience, with at least 2 years recent. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or an associate’s degree plus 10 years of related experience. Experience in personnel, physical, and information security disciplines. Ability to gather facts and use analytical methods to assess information and make sound decisions. Demonstrated ability to communicate complex information, work independently, and collaborate with IC members. Ability to lead research on multifaceted or critical problems and provide concise, insightful products. Completion of formal SSO certification training and SCIF physical security course within the last 5 years (desired). Knowledge of ICD 704, ICD 705, and related DoD, DNI, and USAF directives.
