Maintenance Technician Level 1
Location: Sundance Mountain Resort
Rate of Pay:
$24.00/Hour
Shift:
Variable shifts from 6am – 11pm, 7 days a week. 5-6 shifts per week including weekends, holidays, and special events.

Summary:
The general purpose of this job is to provide skilled maintenance services to lodging and resort facilities and to assist all guests and employees with any maintenance concerns within the guidelines of the Resort's environmental commitment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Perform maintenance tasks as assigned.
Keep logs of tasks performed and communicate effectively with all department staff or other vested parties.
Exhibit excellent time management skills to efficiently and accurately prioritize and complete tasks.
Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly building tours and inspections.
Respond to guest and staff requests in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks and repairs as needed.
Comply with Safety Standards for the project and use of tools and machinery.
Comply with no-idling policy.
Assist other Maintenance Technicians and/or Maintenance Manager on building/repair projects.
Maintain and repair resort's plumbing and electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts.
Paint interior and exterior walls, trim, railings, and signs.
Maintain and repair wood parts of buildings.
Repair worn or damaged parts such as hoses, wiring, and belts in machines and equipment.
Assist with remodeling projects in lodging units and resort building projects.
Keep work and guest areas safe and presentable while performing repairs and installations.
Support the recycling program.
Assist other departments moving furniture, making improvements, unloading and storing supplies as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and two to three years related experience and/or training.
Basic knowledge of HVAC and Electrical Systems; experience with commercial cooking equipment repair.
Proficiency in drywalling, painting, staining, framing, and carpentry skills.
Must know plumbing and trouble‑shooting propane distribution problems.
Basic knowledge of boilers and radiant heating.
Basic building construction knowledge, able to read blueprints.
Must possess a working knowledge of internet navigation and electronic mail; able to use 2‑way radios for communication with all resort staff.
Proficiency using hand and power tools.
Must possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License in good standing.
Must be 21 years old or older.
Regular standing, walking, sitting, hand use, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; required to lift more than 100 pounds.
Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions; exposure to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, electrical shock risk; occasional wet/humid conditions, toxic chemicals, extreme cold/heat, vibration; noise moderate to occasional loud.
