Duties & Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of the Interventional Radiology Tech is to provide assistance with patient care in the IR department through technical support to the IR team.
Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures in a clinical setting.
Operate fluoroscopic or radiology equipment to obtain images per physician specifications.
Assist the physician with procedures by monitoring, passing instruments and catheters, observing patient response, maintaining a sterile field, and evaluating diagnostic data.
Ensure compliance with federal, state and local technical and professional regulations.
Deliver quality, cost‑effective patient care in a professional manner.
Maintain an environment of excellence, patient‑focused and compassionate care.
Prepare and update patient records accurately and legibly.
