Patient Service Specialist Float
Overview
The Patient Service Specialist provides essential administrative and clerical support across multiple clinic locations. The employee works as part of the care team performing duties necessary to prepare patients for a visit. Responsibilities include greeting patients, checking them in and out, collecting fees, ensuring accurate patient and insurance information is collected and entered into the EHR, answering the telephone, taking messages, and making appointments. Attendance is an essential job function. Employees will receive mileage reimbursement for travel between clinic locations.

Core Responsibilities
Greet patients
Check patients in and out and collect fees
Collect accurate patient and insurance information and enter it into the EHR
Answer telephone calls, take messages, and make appointments
Ensure proper attendance for all patients
Travel between clinic locations as needed and receive mileage reimbursement
Qualifications
High school diploma
Travel to different clinic locations as needed to cover staffing shortages (Clubs include Corning, Pocahontas, Walnut Ridge, and Paragould)
Previous experience in a healthcare setting or customer service role preferred
Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with electronic medical records systems
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various clinic locations
Safety and Compliance This is a safety‑sensitive position; the use of a medical marijuana card is prohibited according to Act 593. Facial piercings are not allowed.
