Join the Family Dollar team as a Customer Service Associate I and help deliver a great shopping experience for every customer.
Responsibilities
Assist customers with questions and recommendations
Process sales transactions and operate the assigned cash register
Maintain the security of cash and protect company assets
Keep the store well-stocked, recover merchandise, and help with unloading trucks and restocking in accordance with productivity standards
Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while interacting professionally and friendly with customers, associates, and leaders
Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and keeping all areas neat and presentable
Other duties as assigned
Skills & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Previous customer‑service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug‑store environment (highly preferred)
Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents (required)
Physical capability to lift and carry 30–50 lbs. from floor to shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting (required)
Excellent customer service and relationship‑management skills (required)
Strong organizational and communication skills (required)
Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills (required)
