Job Description As a Charge Nurse at Miller’s, you are responsible for the nursing care of the patients on your shift. You follow the Comprehensive Care Plan for your patients and assist the Unit Manager with thorough and accurate documentation in the patient record when needed. You supervise the direct resident care personnel on your shift.
Responsibilities
Provide nursing care to patients on shift.
Follow Comprehensive Care Plans.
Assist the Unit Manager with documentation.
Supervise direct resident care personnel.
Qualifications
Licensed as a nurse in the State of Indiana.
Passionate about serving others.
Professional in appearance and behavior.
Able to work with a dedicated team.
Successfully complete pre‑employment process and screening.
Pass the physical examination required for gainful employment within the facility.
Maintain a professional manner and appearance.
Job Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of nursing policies and procedures.
Administration of medication and understanding of side‑effects and treatment administration.
Comprehensive understanding of nursing practices and laws and regulations pertaining to resident care.
Understanding physical, psychological, social, and medical needs of residents.
Understanding of organizational structure and duties of employees under the supervision of the unit manager.
Competent in supervision and leadership, caring attitude, observant, fostering good working relationships with other staff, exhibiting good judgement and emotional stability, and following written and verbal instructions.

Exposure Category Tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.
