A QMA 1 is responsible for operating one or more plastic injection molding machines or auxiliary equipment, inspecting, performing value‑added work, and packing parts accordingly.
Duties and responsibilities
Safely perform assigned tasks completely and efficiently.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
Understand and follow the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Complete shift/press paperwork as required.
Walk medium distances within press cycle times.
Comply with department policies, procedures and work instructions, including the TASUS Quality Management System.
Take directions well.
Participate in monthly meetings and TPS projects.
Solve problems.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude.
Ability to work in a safe manner and follow safety policies and procedures.
Good attention to detail.
Working conditions
Manufacturing environment where personal protective equipment is required.
Eight-hour shifts; mandatory overtime when required.
Physical requirements
Standing for long periods of time.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally maneuver up to 40 pounds.
Occasionally reach, bend, kneel and squat.
