Assistant Coach, Women's Lacrosse

Job Summary Performs a variety of functions, assigned by the head coach. Responsibilities include coaching, budget management, recruiting, purchasing equipment, scheduling games and practices, public relations, fundraising, adherence to KSU, NCAA, and conference rules, and assisting in organization of player development, academic support, and recruitment.
Key Responsibilities
Assists coaches and coaching staff in all aspects related to the assigned program.
Supports the implementation of plans and programs to achieve academic progress, retention, and graduation of student-athletes.
Provides leadership and support for department-wide priorities and initiatives.
Organizes, supervises, coordinates, and employs sound coaching techniques and practices.
Participates in university and Department of Athletics events as required.
Prepares student-athletes physically, mentally, and emotionally to compete for conference championships and post-season competitions.
Supports the program's plan to create an atmosphere favorable to the ethical, academic and athletic development of student-athletes.
Serves as a Campus Security Authority as defined by the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus.
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree from an accredited postsecondary institution or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license.
Two (2) years of relevant experience coaching at a post-secondary level program or as a professional athlete/coach.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Able to serve as a spokesperson for the intercollegiate program.
Dependable, punctual, self‑starter.
Able to work and travel with team early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends as needed.
Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with student-athletes, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni and public.
Handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously to meet assigned deadlines.
Comprehensive knowledge of NCAA, conference, State of Georgia, and university policies, rules and regulations.
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication, time management, project management, presentation skills.
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (Microsoft Office suite, Synergy Sports Tech, FastModel suite, etc.).
Strong attention to detail, follow‑up skills, customer service, phone and e‑mail etiquette.
