About the Role
Pembroke Hospital, a 120‑bed acute‑care behavioral health facility located south of Boston, is hiring a
Mental Health Associate – Part Time . The role is a 24‑hour per week position, with opportunities to work evenings or overnight shifts. Employees will work every other weekend and receive a competitive shift differential for evening, night, and weekend shifts. All positions begin and end with
caring for the patient . By listening deeply and understanding each patient’s story, the team strives to make a difference in the lives we touch.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
Provide routine patient care as required in a psychiatric environment.
Document and communicate unusual or erratic changes in client behaviors.
Assist with patient groups and activities.
Work with culturally and generationally diverse populations to meet their individual needs.
Provide trauma‑informed and age‑specific care.
Maintain therapeutic boundaries and utilize crisis intervention techniques.

Physical and mental fitness to care for patients of all ages.
Highly empathetic with strong emotional and social intelligence.
