Position Overview:
Registered Nurse – Perioperative Nurse (Operating Room) in a 60‑bed community hospital located in southern Georgia. The OR unit includes 6 suites and 2 endoscopy suites. The unit performs Orthopedics, Urology, General (peds & adult), Robotics‑GYN, Neuro‑Spine, Endoscopies, Ophthalmology (cataract) and ObGyn procedures. The facility is recognized on Becker’s Hospital Review and Reuters Top 100 Hospitals lists.
Responsibilities
Provide perioperative care to patients undergoing scheduled and emergency surgeries.
Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR staff during procedures.
Document patient care, including anesthesia records, vital signs, and post‑operative instructions.
Prepare and manage OR equipment, instruments, and supplies.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols.
Coordinate with hospital departments for patient flow and communication.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact accepted).
Minimum 2 years of perioperative nursing experience.
Certifications: ACLS‑AHA, BLS‑AHA, PALS‑AHA.
Current and valid SSN and DOB verification.
No more than a 90‑day employment gap in the last year.
