Position Summary
We areseeking an experienced
Nurse Manager – Outpatient Oncology
to provide dual leadership oversight for an established outpatient clinic and a newly opening clinic located nearby. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered nursing care while managing daily operations, staffing, and clinical outcomes.
The Nurse Manager will operationalize evidence-based practices, support regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of accountability, safety, and exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership oversight for daily unit/department operations and staffing
Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered nursing care aligned with established policies and standards
Monitor, evaluate, and improve clinical outcomes and patient safety initiatives
Support accreditation, regulatory compliance, and achievement of internal/external benchmarks
Manage admissions and discharge processes to ensure efficient patient throughput
Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration and care coordination across departments
Assign staff based on clinical competencies and patient care needs
Lead efforts to reduce variation in clinical practice and improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness
Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and service excellence
Review patient satisfaction feedback and implement improvement strategies
Support service recovery efforts and uphold a patient-first philosophy
Manage staff scheduling and productivity according to established guidelines
Oversee operating expenses, supplies, and equipment utilization
Ensure equipment maintenance meets regulatory and accreditation standards
Qualifications Required:
Registered Nurse (RN) – Licensed in Texas or Compact State
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
(Required)
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
Oncology Chemotherapy Certification
Minimum of 1 year of healthcare leadership experience
Preferred:
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
2–5 years of clinical or leadership experience
