1st Shift Part Time Warehouse Material Handler

Pay Range:
$16.16 - $17.40 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule:
10am - completion; Monday–Saturday with rotating days off
Hours:
20‑30 hours per week
Job Overview The 1st Shift Part Time Warehouse Material Handler fulfills customer orders by retrieving, stacking, and transporting product as specified on the pick ticket and computer screen, ensuring safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities
Retrieve and place cases of product onto pre‑determined pallets as instructed by the pick ticket, building a stable pallet in a safe and efficient manner.
Transport pallets of stacked product to different warehouse areas using a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) – Pallet Jack.
Assist in warehouse cleanliness and housekeeping as assigned.
Perform daily PIT checklist and report issues to warehouse management.
Correct any mistakes discovered and communicated by the checker.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Carry out miscellaneous activities directed to support efficient warehouse operations in a dynamic environment.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Work in a fast‑paced environment while walking and repetitively lifting 30 lbs.
Lift up to 75 lbs.
Collaborate within a team environment.
Coordinate and organize efficient warehouse processes.
Adapt to the needs of different work areas during the workday.
Read and interpret instructions from a computer screen.
Attention to detail and ability to differentiate packages.
Work in noisy, non‑temperature controlled environments (hot in summer, cold in winter).
Proactive self‑starter who seeks value‑add opportunities.
Flexibility with schedules and hours as business demands.
Minimum Qualifications
Up to 12 months of related work experience.
PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) – Pallet Jack certification.
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Up to 12 months of related work experience.
PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) – Pallet Jack certification.
