Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Epic proficiency and a MT or compact RN license for a rural critical access facility.
Responsibilities
Work in the Operating Room and cover all surgical departments including Pre/Post Op, Circulator, PACU, and Endoscopy
Critical access hospital with 22 staffed beds
Surgical specialties include OBGYN, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Endoscopy, and ENT
Day shifts (5x8 hours) from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday
On-call required for 8 days including a 3-day weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Travelers may float within surgical services and to other departments as needed
Patient ratios are 1:3 in Preop, 1:2 in PACU, and 1:1 in OR
Epic EMR system is used and required
Scrubs provided by the OR or may be any color
Float between all departments within surgical services and assist in other departments as needed
All travelers are expected to work across facilities within the state if required
Minimal to no requested time off is allowed; all requests must be made before contract offer
Former permanent staff must have a break of at least 3 months and live more than 50 miles from facility to be eligible
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
No parking fees are required
Rural facility with a team-oriented environment
Requirements
Active MT or compact RN license required
Minimum of 2 years Operating Room nursing experience required
Current BLS certification required
Previous experience with Epic EMR required
Ability to cover multiple surgical specialties across all perioperative phases
Two supervisory references covering one year of employment within the last three years in a comparable specialty or setting
