Take Off
Your “Take Off” will be successful by doing the following with excellence:
Pull, splice, and tape underground cable
Perform preventive maintenance inspections of airfield electrical systems
Check and repair all underground cabling/circuits regulators and transformers
Install all types of overhead and underground lighting circuits
Build transformers, vaults and manholes; install and maintain security gates of the AOA
Prepare simple reports of work done; interpret and draw schematics
Perform and record corrections to the FAA Part 139 field safety inspection form
Operate equipment and assist with winter operations as needed
Use electrical and electronic test equipment to identify electrical problems
Can be utilized for general electrical duties within Airfield Maintenance
Landing Your “Landing” will be smooth if you meet the following requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Two (2) years of electrical vocational training and two (2) years of electrical experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum five (5) years electrical experience in all phases of electrical work, installation, and troubleshooting
Experience with 4000V minimum
Must possess and maintain a valid Ohio driver license, in good standing
Must obtain airfield-driving privileges prior to completion of probation
Pay Rate: $30.00/hour plus shift differential
Able to pass a pre-employment drug test, which includes testing for marijuana (medical marijuana cards are not acceptable)
