Base pay range $50.00/hr - $55.00/hr

Position Overview Reliance One, Inc. is seeking a Stamping Engineer to lead the development and manufacture of high-quality stamping tooling, from die build through final handover to the manufacturing facility. This role supports new model launches and stamping process readiness while ensuring tooling meets required quality, productivity, and performance targets. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this role supports the Stamping department’s objectives related to new model process development, necessary condition completion, and final vehicle quality for all new stamping tooling.
What You’ll Be Doing
Gather and evaluate data from tooling trials and subassembly analysis to implement Die Modification Requests (DMRs) to countermeasure die issues and achieve quality KPIs
Review CMM measurement reports of stamped panels and subassemblies to provide direction for die changes to meet panel accuracy requirements
Analyze formability data, including thinning reports, to support die improvements aimed at achieving zero split and zero elongation conditions
Identify surface quality imperfections in stamped panels or subassemblies and support corrective die improvements
Collaborate with die makers and pilot teams to improve productivity, focusing on scrap flow, blank handling, part transfer, and cycle time optimization
Support departmental objectives by participating in assigned continuous improvement and strategic initiatives
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience
Technical writing experience
Willingness to travel outside of Kentucky, including international travel as required
Experience supporting stamping projects, including die structure, function, confirmation, and process creation
Experience analyzing data from contact and non-contact measurement systems
