Electrical Pre-Construction Project Manager

Key Responsibilities
Lead electrical pre‑construction efforts for proposals and awarded projects
Review RFPs, drawings, and specifications to define scope, risks, and assumptions
Coordinate with designers, subcontractors, and internal teams to develop accurate scopes, budgets, and schedules
Develop conceptual and integrated electrical construction schedules
Support estimating, bid‑day activities, and subcontractor buyout strategies
Identify long‑lead electrical equipment and support early procurement planning
Ensure compliance with DoD requirements, installation standards, and security protocols
Support project handoff to Project Management and Operations
Contribute to continuous improvement within the Electrical Preconstruction team

Strong decision‑making, problem‑solving, and analytical skills
Proven leadership and communication abilities
Experience managing electrical budgets, schedules, procurement, and risk
Deep understanding of DoD design‑build projects and compliance requirements
Ability to collaborate across disciplines and negotiate with subcontractors
Commitment to safety, quality, integrity, and team development
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
10+ years
in the electrical construction industry
5+ years
in Electrical Project Management and/or Preconstruction
Experience with DoD, military, design‑build, or large commercial projects preferred
Proficiency with tools such as McCormick, Bluebeam, P6, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Microsoft Office
