Diesel Technician / Mechanic – All Levels
Johnson Truck Center, a subsidiary of Indel Power Group, is seeking a Diesel Technician/Mechanic at our Landover, Maryland location. This role is open to candidates at all levels of experience and offers an opportunity to start a career or grow with a variety of heavy‑duty brands such as MTU, Detroit Diesel, Allison, Cummins, Caterpillar, Volvo Penta, Freightliner, Western Star, Isuzu, Autocar, and Crane Carrier.
Base Pay Range $17.00/hr – $40.00/hr
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose malfunctions and perform preventive maintenance, adjustments, and complete overhauls.
Use OEM software, tools, and technology to maintain, diagnose, and repair customer vehicles or equipment.
Commit to safety, cleanliness, and proper workplace habits.
Maintain open communication with management regarding job status, updates and changes.

Physical Demands Technician roles are physically demanding and require prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Occasional heavy lifting and pushing/pulling of objects weighing up to 50 pounds (or more) may be required. Duties include frequent hand manipulation, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, bending, stretching, or twisting to perform repairs and inspections. Good vision to inspect repair work and effective communication are essential. Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present. A technician may work in areas with temperature and/or humidity extremes.
