Job Summary The Shift Leader supervises shifts and/or work areas in the operation of a Papa John’s restaurant to ensure high quality products and customer service are delivered, thereby supporting restaurant profitability. Other responsibilities include managing operations, executing all Company policies, procedures, programs and systems, and ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws and ethical business practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
Adhere to guidelines, techniques and expectations for each station, including dough management, accuracy and proper portioning. Perform assigned work station duties such as making quality products, following all product preparation procedures and maintaining established product holding times.
Consistently contribute to achieving the Company’s product goal. Commit to meeting the needs and expectations of customers, minimize complaints and respond appropriately to customer needs. Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the TM handbook, including image guidelines, attendance, safety and security.
Exemplify Core Values, maintain a positive attitude, work well with others and remain flexible and adaptable to change.
Ensure adequate shift coverage for the restaurant. Provide immediate feedback and correct problems when identified. Maintain product quality, customer service, and performance responsibilities (e.g., MCE readiness, food/labor costs, restaurant cleanliness) within acceptable standards, following all shift‑management policies and procedures.
Contribute to profit goals by ensuring they stay within company guidelines and target goals. Accurately utilize the FOCUS System, execute cash management duties, and assist in managing adequate inventory levels using the Company’s systems and guidelines to minimize loss.
