Join the Arandell team as an Offline Finishing Operator and become a part of our legacy of excellence that spans over 100 years. You'll be the expert behind the machine, transforming printed sheets into beautiful, finished products.
You will be responsible for setting up and operating state‑of‑the‑art equipment to automatically fold, slit, and score sheets for binding. You will perform accurate loading of paper, conduct quality checks, and cut and stage finished work. You will also adjust the machine mid‑run and conduct minor maintenance to keep production running smoothly.
This is a third shift role from Sunday through Thursday, 11PM–7AM.
What You’ll Do
Set up and operate cutting/folding machinery.
Examine work orders to determine set‑up specifications.
Monitor and maintain quality by following company standard operating procedures.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, finishing operators, material handlers, and coworkers.
Provide oversight, direction, and training to general workers or temporary staff assigned to assist in the folding area.
Perform routine preventive maintenance and production adjustments of equipment as needed.
Clean and maintain the work area.
Perform other bindery and related functions as needed.
What You’ll Need
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous finishing operator experience, including ability to set up and operate bindery.
Knowledge of cutting, mailing, and folding is highly desired.
Mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong math skills and knowledge.
Physical Demands
Frequent sitting.
Frequent use of hands to type, handle, grasp, or touch objects and tools.
Frequent talking or listening.
Occasional standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, squatting, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, bending, and reaching.
Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
