Caseworker - Refugee and Immigrant Services
Are you looking to make a positive impact in your community? Lutheran Services in Iowa (LSI) seeks a Caseworker to support our Immigrant and Refugee Community Services programs in the Cedar Valley.
Multilingual candidates speaking Spanish, Swahili, Karenni, Pashto, Dari, French, Haitian Creole and other languages are encouraged to apply!
Responsibilities
Provide supportive services to refugee and immigrant clients, including employment services, skill development, case management, advocacy, and resource connection.
Apply outcome‑based performance measures and assist clients in developing goals and service plans.
Meet with clients in person or via telephone during normal business hours, as well as in the evenings and occasional weekends.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in health and human services plus 1 year of full‑time related experience.
Alternative: Associate's degree plus 3 years of related experience, or high school diploma/GED plus 5 years of related experience.
Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, clean driving record, and ability to pass a comprehensive background check (including Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, Sex Offender registry, and criminal history check).
