Responsibilities
Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders in students.
Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
Provide direct therapy services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
Maintain accurate records of students' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise on speech and language development.
Offer support and training for teachers and staff to enhance communication strategies in the classroom.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Florida.
Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience working in a school setting is an advantage, but not required.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
