The Dental Hygienist is responsible for delivering preventive oral care and promoting dental health. This role involves performing clinical hygiene procedures, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and collaborating with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities
Patient Care:
Conduct oral health assessments, including evaluation of teeth and gums. Record presence of disease, abnormalities, and restorations. Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing. Apply fluoride treatments and sealants. Diagnostic Support:
Take, develop, and mount dental X-rays. Maintain accurate and complete patient records. Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and regulatory standards. Participate in daily huddles, team meetings, and quality assurance initiatives. Work closely with dentists and clinical staff to provide patient-centered care. Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program. Current state license as a Dental Hygienist. Strong knowledge of dental hygiene principles and infection control. Excellent communication and patient education skills.
