Job Summary
Work Schedule : Monday - Friday 8 hour Day Shift; on call requirement
Under the direction of the Nursing Director, the Surgical Tech First Assist (STFA) works in collaboration with the surgeon and health care team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Intraoperatively, the STFA practices at the direction of the surgeon.
The tech shall assist the surgeon during surgical procedures in a manner as to make the procedure safe, effective, and smooth flowing while adhering to strict aseptic technique.
The tech shall be responsible for the peri-operative care of the surgical patient by proficiently planning, implementing, and evaluating the preparation of the surgical cases.

Qualifications Education Requirements
Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
2 year/Associate Degree - OR - combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Associate Degree
Experience
2-3 years of first assist in multiple specialties including robotics, vascular/endo-vascular, spine and total joints
Certification and Licensure
An accredited Surgical Technician Program
Certified Surgical First Assist
