Job Summary:

HCA’s Forward Pathology Solutions is seeking a PRN Pathologist, Board Certified in Anatomical and Clinical Pathology, for our south market to serve the communities of Manatee, Sarasota and Charlotte counties. The position would be based at HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital, but also serve HCA Florida Englewood Hospital, South Shore Hospital, Blake Hospital, and HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital.

Qualified Candidates:

AP/CP certification or board eligibility At least three years of hospital-based experience

Active Florida Medical License or eligible to obtain

Comfortable with the full scope of AP and CP for community hospital practice

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Experience building collaborative relationships with hospital staff and referring physicians.

Pathology Work Description:

Wide range of surgical pathology specimens

Cytology cases primarily consist of a variety of non-GYN specimens, thyroid FNA’s, and lung FNA’s.

Clinical pathology may include peripheral smears and blood bank reviews.
