Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of adult patients (18‑64 years) and geriatric patients (65 years and older) under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager.
The role supports Infusion, Gyn Oncology, and Med Oncology Clinics with a flexible schedule of 2‑3 days per week, 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Qualifications
Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with either an ADN or BSN degree.
Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or holding an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. BLS is required upon hire.
Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Card from the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) preferred within the first 6 months of hire; required within the first year of hire.
Certified Oncology Nurse (OCN) from the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) preferred.
Prior experience in a similarly sized facility with similar services provided is preferred.
Previous emergency, pre‑hospital or critical care experience preferred. Prior oncology experience strongly preferred.
The Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a 340+ bed facility offering acute medical services. It hosts the only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center in Johnson County and features an Accredited Stroke and Chest Pain Center, among other specialties.
