Operate all equipment.
Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, walk‑in cooler and work area.
Prepare product.
Receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and the facility approximately daily.
Training Orientation and training provided on the job.
Communication Skills
Comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions & Skills
Accurate and quick mental math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). May use a calculator.
Make correct monetary change.
Strong verbal, writing, and telephone skills for order processing.
Motor coordination – eye‑hand coordination for rapid precise movements.
Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Work Conditions
Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in coolers to 90°F or higher in some work areas.
Sudden changes in temperature in work area and while outside.
Fumes from food odors.
Exposure to cornmeal dust.
Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler.
Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500°F or higher.
Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Physical Requirements
Standing – most tasks performed from a standing position.
Walking – short distances for short durations; surfaces include ceramic tile, bricks with linoleum in some food process areas.
Sitting – paperwork normally completed at a desk or table.
Lifting – bulk product deliveries unloaded by hand truck; cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 50 lbs; stacking up to 72 high.
Carrying – large cans (3 lbs 7 oz) from workstation to storage shelves; occasionally pizza sauce weighing 30 lbs carried from storage to front of store.
Trays of pizza dough carried three at a time; weigh approx 12 lbs per tray.
Pushing – moving trays placed on dollies; a stack of trays requires up to 7.5 lbs of force to push.
Climbing – infrequently navigate stairs or climb a ladder.
Bending – forward bending at the waist needed at pizza assembly; duration 30‑45 seconds at a time.
Crouching – performed occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas.
Reaching – continuous reaching up/down/forward; up to 72 inches for oven controls and changes on sign.
