Mobile Engineer – HVAC/Facilities Maintenance
Location: Benton, IL; Cape Girardeau, MO; Sikeston, MO. As a CBRE Mobile Engineer, you will maintain customer service centers in an industrial environment as part of the Engineering and Technical Services Job Function. You will provide support and preventative maintenance on ice machines, walk‑in coolers, doc drawers and HVAC equipment. We provide a van, gas card, tablet and tools. Work hours: 7:00 am–3:30 pm, 40–45 hours per week. Benefits include 15 days of PTO, 11 holidays, 401 k with match, medical, dental, vision insurance and more. What You’ll Do
Performs assigned day‑to‑day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Completes maintenance and repairs, records as required. Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Orders necessary materials and supplies to finish the tasks. Uses CMMS to manage work orders and track completion. Leads troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include: plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC/R. Inspects new installation for compliance with building codes and safety laws. Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC/R, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client. Oversees and inspects the work performed by outside contractors. Maintains the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements. Maintains grounds of facility or property performing such tasks as raking, sweeping, leaf blowing or snow removal. Performs furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed. Performs welding, carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed. Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed. Report and communicate daily all work activity via PDA device. What You’ll Need
High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4–5 years of job‑related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Universal CFC certification and Valid Driver’s license required. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred. Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions. In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset. Benefits
