TravelNurseSource is partnering with Fusion Medical Staffing to find a qualified Med/Surg RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Akron, Ohio (44104).

Requirements
1 year of recent Med Surg/Tele RN experience
Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
Preferred Qualifications
NIHSS certification
ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
Other relevant certifications and licenses
Essential Work Functions
Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families
Administer prescribed medications and treatments
Conduct comprehensive assessments, document findings, and report concerns
Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures and assist physicians during treatments
Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for recovering patients
Document patient information in the medical record
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans
Manage multiple patients efficiently, prioritizing based on acuity
Follow infection control practices, hand hygiene, and PPE use
Advocate for patient needs and preferences
Facilitate discharge planning and coordinate external resources
Perform other duties within scope of practice
Adhere to hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards
Required Essential Skills
Critical thinking and service excellence
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
PC skills and ability to follow written & verbal instructions
Physical stamina for moving equipment (50‑100 lbs) and standing for long periods
Interpersonal skills to work with various personnel
Ability to handle high‑pressure environments and irregular schedules
Visual acuity and effective communication
