Position Summary We have an exciting opportunity for a Distribution Attendant in our logistics and supply chain team.
Job Responsibilities
Receive, load, unload and store pallets of supplies using manual equipment, U‑boats or platform trucks.
Maintain inventory levels, restock supply carts and keep accurate supply records.
Picks and assembles supplies and equipment into boxes or totes for Nursing Units and the par program.
Replenish par‑stock carts on patient‑care areas and ensure accurate stock levels.
Deliver requested supplies throughout the Medical Center and obtain appropriate authorizations.
Proofread documents, enter and retrieve data in an automated inventory control system or handheld devices.
Perform cycle counts and physical inventory duties while notifying supervisors of discrepancies.
Operate pallet jacks, forklift trucks and other material‑handling equipment safely.
Maintain clean and orderly work areas and proper care of all medical materials handling supplies and equipment.
Sort and distribute mail promptly, maintaining accurate records for first‑class presort, vendor pickup, and delivery receipts.
Answer mail‑services telephone and assist individuals with mailing information and preparation.
Make special pickups, deliveries of large or heavy mail items, parcels or mailbags and run errands as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Load and unload hospital supplies and equipment while verifying accuracy and count against vendor documents.
Label, sort, wrap, tag, stock, pack and unpack supplies, repacking for shipment as required.
Separate incoming shipments and sort them onto platform trucks, U‑boats or pallets according to building destinations.
Report discrepancies such as over‑shipment, shortages or damages to supervisory staff.
Maintain accurate records of all transactions as required.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or General Equivalent Diploma.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with computerized inventory management, barcode and handheld scanning systems.
Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and execute work with attention to detail.
Accuracy in record‑keeping and strong attention to detail.
Team player with courteous, compassionate and respectful customer interactions.
Proficient with postal equipment and material‑handling equipment (forklift, power and manual jacks).
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications Two years of warehouse and/or store experience preferred.

Salary range: $43,311.72 – $45,723.43 Annually (New York City Law on Salary Transparency). Actual salaries depend on experience, education and hospital need. This range does not include bonuses or benefits.
