This is a
6-months contract role (with high possibility of extension)
offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.
Location:
Decatur, IL 62526
Shift Schedule: Monday–Friday:
Variable between
6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Hours per Week:
40 hours
Start Date:
ASAP
Pay Highlights:
$28/hour
Key Responsibilities:
Perform venipuncture, capillary, pediatric, and geriatric blood collections
Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures
Verify patient identity and demographics, including patient initials and signature post-venipuncture to confirm proper labeling
Maintain patient confidence by clearly explaining procedures and addressing concerns
Accurately complete all required documentation and records
Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment
Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor
Make decisions using established procedures and sound judgment
Travel to multiple Patient Service Centers and In-Office Phlebotomy locations with minimal notice
Provide staffing coverage as business needs dictate
Training locations may vary based on trainer availability
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary draws.
Note:
Local candidates within 30 miles are eligible.
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credit.
