Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois or compact state

Certification in Labor and Delivery nursing (L&D)

Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience

Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)

Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday as required

Completion of all required onboarding health screenings and documentation

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum stages

Monitor patient status, fetal heart rates, and respond promptly to any changes in condition

Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care best practices

Maintain accurate, timely documentation of all patient care activities

Adhere to hospital policies, clinical protocols, and safety standards
