The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

Operating pilot web lines to run experiments for New Product Introductions for Abrasive Systems Division

Engaging with product developers, engineers, and other technicians to coordinate and complete runs, and providing data and observation feedback during and after activities

Maintaining a safe and organized work environment, and enhancing the operational safety and efficiency of the pilot lines by identifying and implementing improvement opportunities

Record keeping and communication of technical work and results and contributing to documentation of intellectual property

Following and developing standard operating procedures and process documentation

Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent (completed and verified prior to start)

One (1) year of experience operating pilot or manufacturing scale equipment (e.g. coaters, extruders, web handling, etc.) in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

Certificate or associate’s degree in technical field

3 years of experience operating coating, extruding, web handling equipment

Proficiency in statistics or analytical software

Proficiency in navigating computer systems: Word, Excel, email, Enovia PLM, SAP

Basic mathematical, coordinating and communication skills

Work location Maplewood, MN. This Role has an on-site working model, with the employees working five (5) days a week in the office at 3M Center, located in Maplewood, MN. Relocation Assistance: Not authorized. Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.

Compensation and Benefits The expected compensation range for this position is $75,064 – $91,745, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
