Responsibilities The instructor oversees a group of nursing students in the clinical area, guiding them through medication administration and other nursing skills appropriate to their level. They lead pre‑conferences to plan the day’s activities and post‑conferences to reflect on outcomes. Throughout the process, they collaborate closely with students, patients, and families to ensure a comprehensive learning experience. The clinical site will be at Cook County Hospital.
Minimum Experience
Master’s degree in nursing
Two years’ experience in clinical nursing practice
Current RN license in Illinois
Preferred Experience
Specialty in teaching area
Teaching experience at the vocational or community college level
Teaching traditionally underserved populations
Incorporating technology and multimedia applications into the teaching and learning process
Utilizing Learning Management Systems
Teaching in multiple modalities
